Biography

Quentin Edwards, son of the late Johnny Martin Edwards and Venia White Edwards, was born on December 19, 1925 in Anaheim, California and departed this life on July 25, 2009 in his residence near Dexter at the age of 83.

Mr. Edwards was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War 2, a former employee of the Signode Corporation, a member of the Malden Masonic Lodge, Dexter Elks Lodge #2439 and a resident of rural Dexter.

He was united in marriage to Barbara Russell on June 8, 1957 at Dexter. Mrs. Edwards preceded him in death on February 7, 2007.

He is survived by one son, Marc Edwards of Dexter; by one daughter, Libby Hamilton and husband Charlie of Lakeside, Texas; by one grandson, Quentin Edwards of Lakeside, Texas; by two sisters, Victoria Ginter of Tennessee and Dessie Like of Michigan.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 10:00 A. M. until 3:00 P. M., Saturday, August 1, 2009. Interment will follow in the Bethany Cemetery near Campbell.
