BiographyAltha Louise Ogles, daughter of the late Grigg Woodruff and Nora Norwood Woodruff was born on February 2, 1922 in Parma, Missouri and departed this life at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on November 21, 2011 at the age of 89 years.
Mrs. Ogles was a member of the Lighthouse Christian Center in Dexter, former employee of the Elder Manufacturing Company in Dexter for 19 years, and a resident of Dexter.
On February 14, 1963 she was united in marriage to Floyd Ogles in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mr. Ogles preceded her in death on October 1966.
Survivors include three daughters, Annette Groves of Jacksonville, Florida, Yvonne Colbert of Dexter, and Nora Jo Buchanan of Smithville, Missouri; by one brother, George Woodruff of Dexter; one sister, Ruby Lee Middleton of Phoenix, Arizona; also by eight grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Hershal Buchanan; by two brothers Hershal Woodruff and Gratton Woodruff; by two sisters, Beatrice Loraine Caracini and Alma Bagwell.
Visitation will be held at the Lighthouse Christian Center in Dexter from 11:00 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. Wednesday November 23, 2011. Funeral services will then be conducted on Wednesday November 23, 2011 at 1:30 P.M. in the Lighthouse Christian Center with Rev. Tim Russell officiating. Interment will follow at the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
